Technical Committee MTT-15
Microwave Field Theory

Mission Statement

The Technical Committee MTT-15 (Microwave Field Theory) provides leadership and support to the MTT community regarding all aspects of electromagnetic field theory and computational electromagnetics. It thus has a fundamental and empowering role, promoting the theoretical and computational foundations of all microwave technologies and applications. These include

  • Guiding and radiating structures,
  • Passive and active microwave components,
  • Circuits and systems,
  • The solution of problems involving thermal, mass-transfer and electromechanical processes driven by microwave fields.
  • The committee covers analytical, semi-analytical and numerical methods for modeling and simulating microwave analog and high-speed digital systems and environments in the time and frequency domains.
  • The computer-aided design, synthesis, and optimization of microwave components, circuits and systems is also included in the field of interest of this committee.
  • MTT-15 supports the MTT community by sponsoring and organizing timely tutorials, workshops, and special sessions at the annual International Microwave Symposium, disseminating relevant and emerging technical developments, and collaborating with other MTT Technical Committees, IEEE Societies, and other scientific and professional organizations, and by co-sponsoring or participating in technical events within its field of interest.
