For the last several decades, wireless power supply and energy transmission has been paid much attention. The committee promotes the Wireless Energy/Power Transmission (WE/PT) technology to the fixed access as well as the mobile communication with the near-field to the long distance. In addition, the energy harvesting related to WE/PT is also discussed in this committee.

MISSION

MTT promotes the Wireless Energy or Power Transmission and conversion technologies, using either near-field or far-field techniques, for either fixed or mobile access platforms. Wireless energy harvesting from radio-frequency (RF) sources is also part of the interest of this committee.

Focus Areas and Technologies

Component level

1. Microwave high power devices, circuits and modules for WET

2. High power and high efficient communication circuits and modulation / demodulation technologies

3. Effective energy collection devices from harvesting and connection to the wireless communication and sensor network

System level

1. Power interconnection and inductive coupling

2. Power resonance

3. Microwave vehicle / robot power supply

4. Energy harvesting with a microwave technology

5. Wireless power supply and battery charger

6. Wireless sensor network

7. Solar power satellite
