Support for Technical Talks

One of the resources provided by MTT-S is the support of talks by speakers who are expert in their fields. Expenses associated with the talks are subsidized by MTT-S. There are two categories of speaker available: Distinguished Microwave Lecturers (world-wide coverage) and the MTT-S Speakers Bureau (Regional coverage). Both groups cover a wide range of disciplines and topics.

To find out more, got to the MTT.org opening page and select either "DML Site" or "Speakers Bureau."

IEEE Topical Symposium on Power Amplifiers for Wireless Communications

Please join us for the eighth IEEE Topical Symposium on Power Amplifiers for Wireless Communications, which will be held on Monday, January 20, and Tuesday, January 21, 2009, during MTT Radio & Wireless Week at the Omni Hotel, San Diego, California.

The Power Amplifier Symposium is a forum for the presentation and discussion of innovative research and development in the broad area of power amplifiers. Topics of interest include high efficiency design approaches, linearization and pre-distortion, linear & nonlinear characterization, device and system modeling, narrow- and broad-band amplifier architectures, base-station and handset applications, practical PA realizations, and measured results.

In the 2009 Symposium we shall have the following invited presentations:

  • 1."High Efficiency RF & Microwave Power Amplifiers"--Andrei Grebennikov, Alcatel/Bell Labs Ireland
  • 2."Prospects of SOS Technology for Power Amplifier Applications"--D. Kelly, Peregrine Semiconductor, San Diego, CA
  • 3."60GHz CMOS Differential & Transformer-Coupled Power Amplifier for Compact Design"--T. LaRocca and M.F. Chang, University of California, Los Angeles, CA
  • 4."HV-HBT Devices and PAs"--C. Steinbeiser, TriQuint Semiconductor, Richardson, TX

Additionally, there will be 20 submitted presentations and nine posters.
