IMS 2009 Update
The deadline for Paper Submissions (8 Dec. 2008) is approaching. Giving a paper at the IMS is a rewarding experience, and for most of us it is the best way to make sure we will attend. Now is the time to plan your submission. Make sure to review the Call for Papers. All papers submissions are made electronically and instructions are available. If you are a student author, you may be eligible for the Student Paper Competition.
Plans are being finalized for Virtual Participation capability for some IMS2009 events. A number of Workshops, Short Courses and Technical Sessions will be captured with slides plus voice recordings. The Plenary Session and MicroApps will also be recorded. Some of these recording will be available free, others for a fee. If you come to IMS2009, they will be of interest in case you have conflicting events. If you are unable to come to Boston, they can be your opportunity to be a Virtual Participant. The recordings will be available within 24 hours on the end of each event. This is an experimental program, so not all sessions or workshops will be recorded. Make sure to check the IMS2009 Virtual Participation site for more information and updates.
IEEE MTT FELLOWSHIP DEADLINES
Graduate Fellowships

- The student must identify a faculty mentor who will supervise the applicant's project or thesis work in the microwave/RF area. Alternatively, project work may be conducted in conjunction with industry, but a faculty mentor must still be identified.
- Applicant must be an IEEE student member, and the faculty mentor must be an IEEE MTT-S member.
Application Deadline: November 15, 2008
Questions may be directed to:
Focused issue on Electromagnetic Simulation Software
